Privacy Policy.
This notice explains how The Oxford Host Co. handles personal information collected through this website. We are an Oxfordshire based Airbnb and short-let management service, and we are the data controller for the information described here.
For anything relating to privacy, you can email us at hello@oxfordhostco.com.
What we collect
Through this website we may collect:
- first and last name
- email address
- property postcode

- your current hosting status
- an Airbnb listing link, where you choose to provide one
- anything you write in an enquiry or message field
- property information submitted for review or for an earnings estimate
- technical information where applicable, such as browser and device information, IP address and cookie information
We only collect information reasonably required to respond to enquiries, provide the information you ask for, assess prospective properties, deliver our services and operate and improve this website.
Why we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and provide estimates or proposals
- to assess whether a property is suitable for our service

Lawful bases
Where we respond to an enquiry or take steps before entering into an agreement, we rely on steps taken at your request prior to a contract, or on the performance of a contract once you become a client. Where we improve our service, keep records or protect the website, we rely on our legitimate interests in running the business responsibly. Where the law requires consent, such as for optional analytics or marketing cookies, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Where we must keep records, we rely on our legal obligations.
Who we may share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with trusted suppliers who help us deliver the service, such as local cleaners, contractors, photographers, our website and hosting providers and our accountants, and with booking platforms where that is necessary to manage a listing. We only share what is needed, and we require these parties to keep the information confidential. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, and to meet applicable legal, accounting and tax requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are removed once they are no longer relevant.
How we protect it
Information submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with reputable service providers. Access is limited to the people who need it in order to do their work.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it
- ask us to transfer certain information to another provider
- withdraw consent where we rely on it, including for cookies
To make a request, email hello@oxfordhostco.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within one month, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Cookies
Optional analytics and marketing cookies are only used where you have given consent. See our Cookie Policy for the detail and to change your preferences.
